KitchenAid refrigerator on Kestral Park Ln, Sarasota: $485.

The refrigerator had stopped cooling. The diagnostic found a failed inverter control board, and with it the compressor was not starting. Heavy dust sat around the compressor, the board and the evaporator coil.

An OEM inverter board was fitted. The evaporator coil, the compressor compartment and the drain line were cleaned, and the full cooling cycle was tested. Normal compressor operation and cooling were back. The same job is on the Sarasota refrigerator repair page.

The oven was not reaching the right baking temperature. Each time it began to preheat it ran for three to five minutes, showed an error code and shut itself down.

The diagnostic found a failed control board and a faulty temperature sensor. Both were replaced and the oven was fully calibrated. It then preheated normally and held its temperature with no code. More on the Bradenton oven repair page.

A built-in oven had stopped working and the display showed F1E1. A full diagnostic confirmed the control board as the failed part.
